The “Learn to Sew” program has been used for many years and is designed so that students do not become discouraged since they are being taught what they should and when they should. Students may become dissatisfied when attempting to learn a skill they are not yet prepared for. It is essential to develop skills progressively. Our program does just that!

You must have sewing experience to teach, but you do not have to be an expert. Our program provides such detailed guidance that even a beginner Sewist can easily use it. Have confidence in yourself. You can do this! If you need more confidence in your teaching ability, start with beginner lessons and gradually add more difficult levels as you become more comfortable. Remember, you will be your own boss and can create your own rules.  The “Learn to Sew” DVDs are available to help build your knowledge and confidence.

As a sewing teacher, you can choose from several locations to conduct your lessons, such as your home, local churches, or schools. It is possible to collaborate with fabric stores who would be delighted to have you as an instructor, which could increase their business. Some stores may even offer you machines and tables to use during your classes.

To provide students with a choice of how to learn. Some prospective students prefer hands-on, in-person learning, while others prefer to watch videos and review them repeatedly.
